![]() Court Martial was about two military lawyers in the US Army during and just after the Second World War played by Peter Graves (Major Frank Whittaker) and Bradford Dillman (Captain David Young). These officers and good friends would frequently find themselves on opposing sides during a trial and the storylines would involve the tracking down of witnesses and the unearthing of the true circumstances behind crimes. Doing most of the legwork was Sergeant John MacCaskey played by Kenneth J. Warren, with Angela Brown portraying Sergeant Yolanda Perkins. The series was made as a co-production between the American production company Roncom and ITC. Lew Grade (the then head of ITC Entertainment) had sold the American ABC network on the idea of the show and Universal Television also had a big hand in financing the series. The on-site facilities at Pinewood including the studio lot, Heatherden Hall, grounds and gardens were all put to good use as exteriors in the episodes. The
series was produced by Robert Douglas, who was replaced by Bill Hill
from the episode Judge Them Gently. The
series was filmed on 35mm and had a running time of 60 minutes.
Transmission
dates are for the Granada region.
