Jeremy Longhurst had appeared as an ill fated student climber in the film version of The Trollenberg Terror, and would later appear in episodes of Danger Man (Koroshi), Fraud Squad and Thriller (Spell of Evil).
Director : James Omerod Writer : Bill Strutton Cast : George Pastell, Barry Steele, Jill Medford, Barry Steele, Matthew Vaughan, Nelson Adams, Raymond Hodge, Julie Paul, Doel Luscombe, Michael Harrison , Alex Gallier Notes : Actor Geoffrey Russell played the role of King Caspian in the BBC production of Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair. He was also seen as the Home Secretary in Harrys Game and appeared as Bill Jelly in the childrens adventure serial The Flockton Flyer. George Pastell is probably best remembered by cult TV fans as Klieg in the Patrick Troughton era adventure of Doctor Who, The Tomb of the Cybermen. He also added menace to episodes of Ghost Squad, Man of the World, Out Of The Unknown, The Avengers, The Saint and The Champions.
Director : Geoffrey Hughes Writer : Leonard Fincham Cast : Neil McCarthy, Dermot Kelly, Peter Glaze, Gerald Turner, John Scott, Brenda Durich Notes : Geoffrey Hughes also directed episodes of Crane and Top Secret. The theme music was composed by Laurie Johnson who contributed memorable scores to The Avengers, New Avengers and The Professionals. Atheletic actor Neil McCarthy was equally adept at drama and comedy and guested many shows including several episodes of Doctor Who, The Avengers and The Saint. Further drama roles spanned appearances in Z Cars, The Professionals and The Gentle Touch, whilst his comedy credits include Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, Sykes and Only When I Laugh. He was a series regular in the first season of Catweazle as Sam Woodyard, another as Babis Spiradakis in Who Pays The Ferryman? and as Spillbergen in the mini series Shogun. Dermot Kelly also portrayed Henry Mace Horsfall in the 1960's Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) episode The House on Haunted Hill. He died in 1980. A mention of Peter Glaze cannot go by without a mention of Crackerjack! in which he appeared in regularly throughout its run as a comedy player. His more serious acting credits include as a Sensorite in the Doctor Who story The Keys of Marinus and in the The Sweeney episode Big Spender as Joe Spratt. He died in 1983.

These episodes were transmitted between 8:55pm and 9:25pm. John Roddick also wrote the The Saint episode The Covetous Headsman. Olive Lucius later turned up in minor roles in the third season of Robin of Sherwood. Bartlett Mullins was a Liverpool born supporting actor who graced our screens from the late 40's up until the mid 70's. He also appeared alongside Peter Glaze in the Doctor Who story The Keys of Marinus as a Sensorite. Amongst his other fleeting support roles are contributions to episodes of Adam Adamant Lives!, The Prisoner, The Goodies and The Changes. He can also be seen in several cult British horror films including The Quatermass Xperiment, Peeping Tom, Frankenstien Created Woman and the abysmal Trog.
Director : Geoffrey Hughes Writer : Leslie Watkins Cast : Kevin Stoney, Philip Latham, Fiona Duncan, Margaret Gordon, Peter Thomas, John Moore, Gawn Grainger Notes : Actor Eric Lauder (1924 - 1999) played Peter Shelton in the 1957 series Destination Downing Street before undertaking the role of Harry Baxter in the long running police drama No Hiding Place (1959 - 1964). Shortly before appearing in Echo Four-Zero he played Dr Andrew Manson in The Citadel (1960). After No Hiding Place Lauder made guest appearances in episodes of The Avengers (Two's a Crowd) and Department S (The Shift That Never Was). Other notable appearances include Thriller (One Careful Owner) and a regular role as Ron Cooke from 1972 - 1974 in Coronation Street. It would be easier to name series that Kevin Stoney has not had roles in. Briefly hes been in Top Secret, Doctor Who, R3, The Prisoner, Out Of The Unknown, Counterstrike, The Adventures of Don Quick, Doomwatch, The Tomorrow People, Space 1999 and Blake's 7 - and thats only scratching the surface! Regal looking actor Philip Latham has specialised in authority figures with appearances in The Avengers, R3, Undermind, The Troubleshooters, The Pallisers, Crane, UFO, The Professionals and Doctor Who.
Director : Wilfred Eades Writer : Peter Yeldham Cast : Peter Elliott, Donald Morley, Yolande Turner, George Mikell, Jeremy Longhurst, Yvonne Ball, Anthony Harrison Notes : Writer Peter Yeldham was born in Australia in 1927. He would go onto to write for the 1963 series Espionage and The Persauders! (Read And Destroy). Donald Morley has a raft of credits, often as an authority figure, to his name with roles in episodes of Police Surgeon, Crane, The Sentimental Agent, Espionage, Ghost Squad, The Champions, Doomwatch, Thriller and The Sweeney. Yolande Turner is now often credited as Yolande Finch, but before doing so she made episodes of The Avengers, Department S, Crane and The Saint more exotic.
Director : Geoffrey Hughes Writer : Paddy Manning O'Brine Cast : Harry Lockhart, Robert Desmond, John Phillips, John Gabriel, Richard Bebb, Janet Bruce, Larry Cross, Carmen Blanck-Sichel Notes : Paddy Manning O'Brine also wrote three episode of The Saint - The Miracle Tea Party, The Set-Up and Interlude In Venice. Actor Robert Desmond also popped up in The Avengers episode A Change Of Bait.
Director : John Frankau Writer : Michael Nelson Cast : Betty Paul, Dudley Foster, Lucy Young, Michael Corcoran, Frank Sieman, Barrie Cookson, Michael Brennan Notes : John Frankau also directed on the series Top Secret and had previously worked with Eric Lauder on a 1960 adaptation of A J Cronin's The Citadel. Actor Dudley Foster had also appeared in Police Surgeon, Danger Man, Crane, The Avengers, Doctor Who, Public Eye and The Persauders! He committed suicide in 1973.

Born in 1921 and still active in the industry Chater has notched up guest appearances in shows including Ghost Squad, The Avengers (You'll Catch Your Death), The Saint, Department S, The Champions, Callan (as series regular Bishop), Steptoe And Son, Doomwatch (The Islanders), Jason King, Thriller, Special Branch, Strangers, Harrys Game (as Colonel George Frost), Rumpole of the Bailey, The Bill and most recently Heartbeat. He's also appeared in a remarkable number of notable and cult films including The Day The Earth Caught Fire, If..., Oh Lucky Man, Barry Lyndon and Ghandi. Martin Miller was born in 1918 and is perhaps best remembered for his role as Kubla Khan in the William Hartnell Doctor Who adventure Marco Polo. He died in 1969. Anthony Sagar was a verteran of guest roles in The Avengers, Doomwatch and Spyder's Web before his death in 1973.
Director : Cyril Coke Writer : Bill Strutton Cast : Leslie Dwyer, Joan Hickson, Brian Haynes, Tony Gill Notes : Amongst writer Bill Strutton's other credits are the William Hartnell era Dr Who adventure The Web Planet, The Saint (The Rough Diamonds and Iris) and the 1968 series Riptide. Actor Leslie Dwyer is famous for his role as the child hating Punch and Judy man Mr Partridge in the sitcom Hi De Hi! He also appeared in Doctor Who (The Carnival of Monsters), Public Eye (Comedians Graveyard) and The Sweeeny (Trojan Bus). Joan Hickson (1906 - 1998) also played Mrs Weston in the Mystery and Imagination episode Dracula and appeared in 50's version of The Invisible Man (The Mink Coat). Three more episodes were planned, but not made due to cancellation

heralds the promotion of Detective Sergeant Baxter of No Hiding
Place to Detective Inspector as he joins Q Car Squad
of London's tough E Division, the original name for the
Metropolitan Police Force. Aired between seasons three and four of No Hiding Place, after which D.I. Baxter returned to his own division and continued with Lockhart in No Hiding Place.
