As a producer he has worked on The Famous Five (1978), Prime Suspect and A Touch Of Frost. Elizabeth Sellars also appeared in the first season of the BBC series R3. Anthony Bate was born in 1929 and has an impressive list of cult TV related credits including episodes of Out Of This World (Botany Bay), Out Of The Unknown (Level 7 and The Last Witness), The Champions (The Mission), The Guardians (The Nature Of The Beast) and as Oliver Lacon in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and its sequel Smiley's People.

Notes : This is the only episode to feature music. Written by Derek Bourgeois this was his first work for television having previously composed scores for British Transport Films and stage productions. He later worked on the unmade Kneale scripted play Crow (1978), The Barchester Chronicles (1982) and Mansfield Park (1984). Recent work has included a score for the nature series Wildlife On One. Stuart McGugan later presented Play School. Martin Shaw was Doyle in The Professionals. His more obscure early credits includes The Strange Report episode Sniper : When is Your Cousin Not?

Notes : Jane Wymark has recently appeared in the programmes Lovejoy, Dangerfield and The Midsommer Murders. Simon MacCorkindale was born in 1952. During the late 70's and early 80's he would be a familiar face in productions both in the UK and the US. This period includes roles in the final Quatermass story as the scientist Joe Knapp, the episode From Beyond The Grave for the TV horror anthology series Hammer House of Horror, an appearance as Gaylord Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard, credits in soaps such as Dynasty and Falcon Crest as well as the forgettable flop that was Manimal as Professor Jonathan Chase who had the ability to morph into a variety of wild animals. Film credits include The Riddle Of The Sands (1979), The Sword And The Sorcerer (1982) and Jaws 3D (1983). Recent credits include Poltergeist : The Legacy as the semi regular character Reed Horton, Earth : Final Conflict and Relic Hunter (on which he is also credited as co-executive producer).
Director : Donald McWhinnie Cast : Patrick Magee (Raymount), Madge Ryan (Florence Raymount), Micheal Kitchen (Bob Curry), Gerald James (Joe Nash), Bill Dean ((Duggie Jebb), David Elmon (Boy), Janice Bean (Customer), Patricia Mason (Second Customer). Notes : Patrick Magee was born in 1922 in Armagh, Northern Ireland. He was famous for his many appearances in horror films and freely admitted that these roles funded his passion for theatre. He was a friend of the playwright Samuel Beckett (who wrote the play Krapp's Last Tape specifically for Magee). His last role before his death in 1982 was a reprisal of his character Caleb in the BBC play Another Flip For Dominic Hide. Madge Ryan was born in Australia in 1919. Her long career on in stage, theatre and TV took in many diverse roles. Genre wise her appearances include The Avengers (Mandrake), The Saint (The Better Mousetrap) and the stand alone play A.D.A.M.(1973). She died in 1994.

(The Morning After), The Changes and most recently in 2000 Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes. Clive Swift probably now etched into the publics mind as the long suffering Richard Bucket in the sitcom Keeping Up Appearances. However, he has a vast amount of previous credits in shows such as 1990, Dead Of Night (The Exorcism), Dr Who (Revelation of The Daleks) and A Very Peculiar Practice. Glyn Houston was born in 1926 and is the brother of the late actor Donald Houston. His early career in the fifties consisted of mainly uncredited or bit parts in such films as The Blue Lamp (1950) but over the decade he rose in stature and was soon a familiar and dependable actor in many UK films of the period. He begun in television in the sixties and by the start of the seventies he would appear almost exclusively in this medium. Houston retired in the nineties having made notable appearances in Doomwatch, Dr Who, The XYY Man and Shoestring. Simon Oates had previously found fame as one of the Doomwatch team. Micheal Sheard would later become the antichrist of the playground - Mr Bronson - in the long running childrens drama series Grange Hill. All episodes exist. Written by Nigel Kneale.
