Read Engale Marketing offer a broad range of merchandise:- Pre-Recorded Video Tapes and Laser Discs; DVDs: Books; Magazines; Compact Discs; Construction Kits; Toys; Postcards; Collectibles; Calendars There is important information you should know before ordering Video Tapes and Discs Unfortunately, at the moment, video tapes are being deleted and added to constantly by the manufacturers. Whilst they’re not bad at telling us what is coming out a few months ahead of time, unfortunately this isn’t the case with deletions. Titles have been known to disappear overnight ! The catalogue is updated as often as we can but please understand if the item you are seeking is no longer available. The pre-recorded video tapes and DVDs we offer are produced in the U.K. for our domestic market and we use the PAL television system – 625 lines. It is not commercially viable (nor strictly legal) for the video companies to release tapes or discs in any other format so the PAL tapes and discs we offer are not compatible with either SECAM or NTSC (525 lines) television systems used in other parts of the world (such as the USA and Canada). Furthermore, DVDs are encoded for Region 2, an additional complication if your playback equipment was bought in a part of the world not using this Region. That’s not to say our tapes and DVDs are useless overseas – they can be played on multi-standard equipment or (in the case of tapes) copy-converted. Overseas customers must ensure they can satisfactorily use tapes or discs once received – no responsibility can be taken by Engale Marketing if you do not. Any Returns are entirely at our discretion and must be approved by us beforehand and will incur a 10% re-shelving fee if agreed. We will exchange for exactly the same tape only those tapes and discs which prove faulty. Replacements are sent Surface Freight. We suggest that if you need to return a tape, if the box and sleeve are O.K., send only the tape itself. This will save us all some postage costs ! Due to the high turn over on video tapes and discs, unfortunately we cannot check by viewing them prior to despatch. Books Amongst our suppliers are the U.K.’s largest importer of American books and comics and also one of the biggest independent wholesalers serving our country. We cannot list all the titles available to us – if there is anything you do not see in our catalogue please give us a try for any title you are trying to find, of any type. If you know the ISBN number that would be a great help. Compact Discs We principally deal in soundtracks, rather than straight forward music titles but, as with other goods, we do deal with mainstream suppliers so mention anything you’re after…we can always try ! Toys This is becoming an increasingly difficult area in which to trade. Toys (especially action figures) are being produced for increasingly short periods of time by the manufacturers. Twenty years ago, a line could be available for years; now it seems like months. We try not to run product here which will almost instantly be unavailable but it is always worth checking stock levels before ordering Collectables These are invariably one-off items and, whilst we do try to remove stock as it sells, it is worth double checking availability before ordering
All prices quoted are in U.K. Pounds Sterling and this is the only currency we trade in. All cheques/postal and money orders should be payable to, and sent to: Engale Marketing Overseas payments should be in U.K. Pounds Sterling, drawn on a U.K. bank or the U.K. branch of an overseas bank. Payment by Credit Card (Mastercard/Visa/Amex) is probably the easiest way of making payment from overseas and, of course, is equally acceptable for our domestic customers as well, though the card must be the customer’s own. If using a friend or relative’s card, the order must be placed in their name and shipped to their address. Please supply all details requested on the Order Form. FAXed orders are O.K. If you need to e-mail credit card details then send them in, say, four sequential messages each containing a block of numbers. Make sure we know in which order to read them and included the expiry date with the final block. Postage and Packing Our automated system works out the postage and packing appropriate to your part of the world, though we reserve the right to make amendments as necessary. Sometimes a certain combination of goods ordered can make the automatic system calculate the shipping wrongly. This usually means we manually reduce the cost but very infrequently we have to increase it a little. If the adjustment is greatly more we will contact you first. We do not seek to make profit from this part of your order. If you are paying by credit card we will endeavour to charge only the actual cost to us of postage and packing. We do reserve the right to amend our shipping charges as necessary without prior notification. Overseas rates are for Air Freight only – the cost saving now between this and Surface Freight is not worth the extra time it takes for the parcel to arrive ! General Please allow 21 days for your goods to arrive if you are a U.K. customer, though in the vast majority of cases delivery is much earlier than this. Overseas orders, obviously, take a little longer. When processing your orders it may be necessary to Back Order an item so we can despatch of much of your requirements as soon as possible. In this eventuality, the outstanding item will be sent as soon as humanly possible. |
